Trip to the Aquarium

We're packing our days full of activities, everything from A to Z......that is everything from Aquarium to Zoo...

Brielle thought the beluga whale was "cute."

But the sharks scared her, as soon as she realized what they were she ran and hid around the corner.

Hyrum is ready to go to Mexico with his Grandpa Francis. He LOVED watching the fish, and happily would have stayed all day if we'd let him.

A puffer fish...

Trigger fish....

and a GINORMOUS parrot fish!

Too bad this aquarium isn't closer to us (it's in Tacoma), because the kids had a great time, and I loved seeing all of the tropical fish because it reminded me of trips to Akumal. How much longer til the kids can snorkel?? =0)

Trip to the Zoo

Bear.
'nother bear.

Carousel ride.

Hyrum's first time.

Hyrum and the jaguar.

Life at our house...

The older Hyrum gets the more Brielle decides he's worth playing with. And of course Hum still adores his big sister. They've started getting into quite a bit of trouble together.

Hyrum is showing me that he CAN touch the stove, though he's been warned several times not to. Defiant little doober, isn't he.

"Washing" dishes together. (read: splashing water on themselves and the counter while smearing soap on every surface within reach.) And no, I don't help them move their chairs around, they can both do that themselves. I DO hide the chairs constantly, but they always find them. =0)

Hyrum has graduated from climbing up onto chairs, now he goes from the chair to a table to get where he wants. He tries to get onto the counter too, but so far to no avail.

The dishwasher is Hyrum's absolute favorite place in the house. I have to fill it in fits and spurts because once it's open Hyrum comes running so that he can "help" me take everything out of it.

Splash Park

We went to a new splash park with our friends Amie and Madilyn, and Joy and Dade. The water was safe for drinking which I thought was a great idea since the kids are GOING to drink it! They take the water from the splash park and run it through the sprinkler and irrigation systems to water the lawns (yahoo for conservation!).

Hyrum absolutely loved this little stone frog. It didn't splash him, it was just a stream of water so he could control how wet he got.

There were lots of little killer whales and one huge killer whale that I helped Brielle climb on top of. (It was a few feet taller than me so she really was up pretty high)
