Clara's blessing

Asleep

Stretching

Hi there!

So, we actually didn't take a single picture of Clara on the day she was blessed. Or the week she was blessed. Actually these pictures are several weeks after her baby blessing. It's pathetic really, the house was FILLED with people that could have taken pictures, and alas we have none. We blessed Clara on
October 10th.

Have I mentioned how much I love her hair!!

My friend Jenny asked for more pictures of Clara, and so pictures she shall have. Lots of pictures. Tons of pictures. Oodles of pictures.

As a doting Mother, I'm allowed to post on my blog as many photos of my baby as I desire, EVEN if they all look exactly the same to the casual observer.

If the casual observer is bothered by this then the casual observer is free to peruse another blog, perhaps one owned by someone not in possession of the cutest baby on the planet.

Oh, oh. The tremble-lip. Now she's done with the picture taking.

Clara at 2 months

At her 2 month doctor check up, Clara weighed 11 lbs. 3 oz, and she was 23.5 inches long.

That puts her in the 90% for height, and the 50% for weight. She's tall and skinny. And she has a little head, 16th percentile there. But her mastery of inverse kinematics and compound-complex sentence structures implies that the brain within is just fine.

All I need to know....

I currently have a calling in Primary and so last night I attended three baptisms. I brought Brielle along with me because she'd never been to a baptism before and wanted to see one. On the way to the church I was explaining to Brielle what would happen so that she'd know what to expect. As I described what they did in the water Brielle interrupted with "Oh, we did that in swim class, Mom. It's called a bob."

Imagine it said with a superior tone, as if to say "I already know about that Mother, it even has a name!"

Brielle's Field Trip

Brielle's preschool went on a field trip to the Farm.

Ellie positively THRIVES in a school setting, she loves preschool!

At the Farm they picked out pumpkins.

They got to pet various farm animals. Brielle especially loved the pen filled with white bunnies!

We went on a tractor-pulled hayride.

This black cat stowed away on our wagon and sat next to Ellie on her hay bale. When we got to the field of pumpkins, the cat hopped down, picked her way across the mud, and jumped onto a different wagon going back towards the farm.

The kids ate ice-cream.

Watched a duck race.

The gray duck won.

(at the end of the race the ducks all jumped out of the water and raced up the walkway back to their duck house)

Brielle's best buddies at preschool: Landon and Jacob. (Landon on the left, Jacob on the right)

Having twin boyfriends sparked a great discussion about how twins are made. Go ahead and ask her about it!
Landon and Jacob's mother is a photographer. A very good one.

The farm dog, telling everyone goodbye.
