Eating with Clara

I put three bowls of macaroni and cheese on the table the other day for lunch, then went to pour cups of milk.  When I turned around I found Clara like this.  She had climbed up into one of the "big kid" chairs and was waiting patiently.  She is definitely beginning to outgrow the booster chair, not in size, but in independence!
Cottage cheese on pita chips.  Clara likes the oddest things, like hummus.  ; )

Quadruplets

Clara is constantly bringing me babies and blankets and asking me to wrap them for her.  The more babies in a blanket, the happier she is!

Transportation

Hyrum and I are part of a preschool co-op, where the four moms take turns teaching the classes.  This is a picture my friend snapped while she was teaching about buses.  Hyrum looked so cute that I had to share it too.  (Reminds me of a little old man!)

Hyrum has loved preschool this year, and I think a big part of that is due to his teachers.  The other moms are amazing at teaching interactive lessons, and playing to each child's strengths.  Hyrum is always excited to go to preschool, and I'm so grateful that these friends of mine have helped instill a love of learning in him.

The other three children are going to start kindergarten in the Fall, and Hyrum will go to the preschool that Brielle went to last year.  We're both going to miss seeing our fun preschool group on a regular basis!

There were three on the swing...

...and the little one said "move over..."  =0)

When Russ puts the children on the swing and starts pushing them, he doesn't mess around.  Within seconds their feet are kicking the branches of our tall pine trees.

Their Mother worries about the little one.

Hats

Our Relief Society recently did a service project making hats for Project Linus, an organization that gives hats and blankets to children in shelters or hospitals. I already knew how to crochet, but for these we used a circular loom.  I loved learning a new skill, and now everyone can expect hats for the next several birthdays!  (these are three of the hats I made)

Easter

Easter morning the children woke up and rushed to find their baskets and eggs.

Each child received a stuffed animal and a book from their parents.
And plenty of candy from the Easter Bunny.

Chocolate bunnies are always a favorite.

The bunny hides different styles of eggs, so that each child knows which ones are for them.

We have church at 9:00 AM, so after a nice Easter breakfast of peeps and chocolate, we dolled the kids up and went to church, to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior.

I wanted pictures after church, but everyone had a green mouth, and the baby was asleep.

We had some friends and cousins come over for dinner.  The Losee family from our ward (they have two daughters) and Russell's cousin Spencer's family.

We hid over 300 eggs, so this time Clara was able to find as many as she wanted.

If you leave your basket unattended, then Victoria will lighten it for you.  ; )

 Peeps!
We had a wonderful Easter surrounded by family and friends.

Egg Hunts

Our Church held an Easter Egg Hunt the Saturday before Easter.  It was all outside in the parking lot and around the building.  My older children took off like a shot and filled their baskets as quickly as they could.

Clara took a little longer to catch on.  Once she realized she could put the eggs in her basket, she was thrilled, but her little legs couldn't move as fast as the big kids, so she only ended up with a few eggs.
