More Bunnies

Penelope had 4 baby bunnies on September 17th.

From top to bottom (in this last picture) we have Berry, Blossom, Bramble, and Bluebell.

Hyrum's Birthday Party

Hyrum had a Ninjago Birthday party this year, Ninjago are Lego Ninjas.
The cupcakes were fairly easy to make, which is always nice.

We played lots of games, shooting targets, tossing throwing stars, doing Ninja stuff.....I was "officiating" those games though and I don't have pictures.

 Opening presents...

 Playing "Don't wake the Ninja"

The kids made Ninja belts, and they each received a Ninja Sword, to battle the Balloon Ninjas.

We made a punching bag pinata, it was a BIG hit!!!

The pinata was the perfect thickness, everyone got a couple turns of punching and kicking the bag, and then it started to show some signs of wear.  A few turns later candy flew everywhere.  Yahoo for pinatas!!

 Lego shaped candles= Awesome

Hyrum had a wonderful party and he's so lucky to have such great friends to share it with!

Hyrum's 5th Birthday

Hyrum's birthday was on a Sunday.  After Church we went on a walk, then came home and opened presents.

 Hyrum likes his presents.

 Ninjas from Grandma.

It was a nice low-key family birthday.  We saved the chaos for the following Saturday, when he had his party with friends.

My Birthday

For my birthday I made a Double Chocolate Torte which was AMAZING.

Pretend it's your birthday, and make it.

I also went to Piroshky and Crepes with my friend Amy, and had my first Piroshky.  Then later that evening Amy babysat for us while Russ and I went out to dinner at P.F. Changs.

It was a great birthday.

First Day of School

In early September Brielle started school.  Here she is on the first day of First Grade.  Kindergarten here is half day, and so this is her first year of eating lunch at school, and having recess!  She's been doing great in her class, and she's reading and doing math at a second grade level, so that's wonderful.

My favorite part about First Grade is that I'm no longer required to take her to and from the bus.  Most mornings I just barely have enough time to get her ready and out the door, if I had to get the rest of us ready too we'd never make it.

Two weeks after Brielle started school, Hyrum started preschool.  He goes Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00am-11:30 am, and he has been loving his classes as well.  But apparently preschool isn't photo-worthy.
