Not that we won't try....
"Pregnancy following successful embolisation of a uterine arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is rare. Hypovascularity of treated areas affecting placentation and fetal growth has been postulated to be the cause for adverse pregnancy outcomes."
On the bright side, so far the embolization appears to have fixed the torrential bleeding. Target employees can rest easy now!

We interrupt Christmas Posts to bring this update...
Last week at my doctor appointment the doctor had me schedule an ultrasound for one month from now. At that time the gel foam that is blocking my uterine arteries should have cleared out and they'll be able to see where the blood is flowing. The hope is that, without blood flow through those vessels, the AVM will collapse on its own, or resolve into the surrounding tissue.
If the AVM isn't going to resolve, then in a few weeks I might start bleeding again, hemorrhaging, not the light bleeding I have now, and then I'd go to the ER, and we would change our plan around and do another sort of intervention. The doctor said that we might have to "open me up" and surgically take out the AVM and close up the vessels leading to it. But we're hoping that isn't the case.
Right now I'm doing pretty well, though I've found that I bleed more on the days that I am more active (which is frustrating). It's not as much bleeding as when I was hemorrhaging because there isn't a direct artery flow to the AVM, but it does mean that activity prohibits healing. So to enhance my chances of the vessel healing while the blood flow is diminished, I guess I need to not be so active. There go my New Year's Resolutions!
I actually feel very hopeful that this procedure will have solved the problem. I'm grateful for all of your prayers and fasting.
In one month I'll let you know what the ultrasound says about my innards.
