Aviation Day

We have been crazy busy in our beautiful spring weather. We've gone to a boating expo where the kids could ride paddle boats, build sand castles, and fish in a stocked pond. And we did the March Of Dimes with Russell's work. Well, Russell and I did, the children sat in the double jogger stroller sipping juice boxes and asking how much longer. =0)

We also went to the Aviation Extravaganza. There were all sorts of planes, from very very old ones, to very very new ones, and several were set out for people to climb in and sit in the cockpit. Hyrum was in heaven!

Some of the planes would take off and fly past us, which Hyrum was thrilled about.

Brielle's favorite part was the balloon lady. She and I are only mildly interested in planes. Russell on the other hand was as delighted as the two year old!

Brielle sat in the cockpit of this water plane. Her very pregnant mother had to climb up on the pontoon to lift her in. It was worth seeing. Especially when we fell off the pontoon on the way down.

Hyrum liked all of them.

Excuse me?!

Brielle asked me today if I wanted to help her make a sand castle. I said "sure" and plopped down next to her to start scooping together a large base of wet sand. Suddenly Brielle stood up and told me: "You're doing great. Just call me when you're done."

Right.

Can't argue with that

The other day I walked into the playroom to find mounds and mounds of dark black hair on the floor. Brielle had given Kip a haircut. Consequently I told her, in no uncertain terms, that she would NOT be having dessert that evening. To which Brielle replies, "But Mom, eating dessert is my destiny!!"
