Clara's 6 month pictures

No, no, a little more to your right....

There we go!

Clara's 6 month stats:

Weight 16 lb. 4 oz putting her in the 51st percentile

Height 27 inches putting her in the 87th percentile

Head Circumference 42 cm putting her in the 32nd percentile

And naturally the cuteness is off the charts!

The faint line from eye to chin is the lingering trace of a scratch welt from a few days before. The dog jumped up on me, just as Clara leaned forward to pet him, and his claw raked down her soft little face. Poor baby!

We took lots of pictures. But they didn't turn out.

Here Clara actually looks concerned for her safety.

So I plucked her from the mosh pit. I guess we'll try again another day. =0)

Who needs a washcloth????

Clarabee LOVES our dog. And since he doesn't pay much attention to her most of the time, she's delighted whenever she can get him close enough to pet!

The trick is to lure him close with the sweet potatoes, then quickly snag his ear before he can get away!!

When Daddy watches the baby...

....she finds herself propped up in a laundry basket!

This is when she was 5 months, before she could sit up on her own, so to prevent her from falling Russ stuck her in a basket, a trick my Mom taught us with Brielle. Clara thought it was great fun!

Cortnee made this taggie blanket for Hyrum when he was a wee mite, and we're getting a lot of use out of it! Thanks Cortnee!!

Ready for solids

Clara is FASCINATED with food. Not her food that comes in jars, in various states of mush. Oh no, she wants the good stuff!!!

In this picture she is pulling Russell's hand to her mouth as hard as she possibly can!

And what do you know, glazed doughnuts she likes!

In fact, she likes it sooo much that she wants another taste.

She may never go back to pureed carrots again!

Clara's 5 month pictures

Clarabelle is by far my happiest baby. She'll go hour upon hour without a hint of fussiness.....so long as you supply her with constant attention! So delightful and happy, yes, but high maintenance, double yes!

I love her hair, but it makes headbands tricky, the hair is either getting pushed up into a big poof, or else it looks scraggly, but since these pictures were taken in five minutes one Sunday after changing her into pajamas for the night, the hair is in its natural state of dishevelment.

These pictures will no doubt look all the same to most of you, but as her mother I couldn't choose just one or two, because I love her little expressions in each of them. They're so Clara!

Clara received a doll for Christmas from her Grandma Streadbeck. She loves it! I think she likes it better than the other toys because it has a face. She's a big fan of faces. =0)
