The next morning we loaded up the kids and drove to Lake Cushman to stay in Uncle Dave and Aunt Carol's cabin. The cabin is in a gorgeous place, right in the middle of the Olympic Forest, unfortunately because of that prime location in the temperate rain forest, we had a gray and rainy weekend. We played a lot of games, walked down to the lake in the drizzle to throw rocks in the water, and then we got tired of the rain and drove around the forest to Port Townsend, where it was nice and sunny, and we stayed and played on the beach all day, catching star fish and splashing in the water.
We had one dry evening at the cabin, and we rushed out to light a fire and cook s'mores.
It was a fun weekend!

I want to ride a segway with you!!!!
Holy crap, how'd your kids get so big?? It's almost as if they grow at the same rate as mine...weird.
Your whole family is adorable! I love how cute and excited your kids are at the beach! Fun times!
That is a cool fort that your kids made. I would live in it. If I were desperate.
